Mia Wyatt, CNM
Certified Nurse Midwife
Preconception Counseling and Pregnancy Nutrition Specialist
Mia’s path to being a Roswell midwife was not the typical journey. Although she was always interested in women’s health, she went spent ten years in information technology consulting immediately following school. Soon enough, however she realized that her true calling was not in IT but in midwifery where she firmly set her sights.
After some research she decided to follow her dream and went back to school. Mia, originally from Santa Barbara, CA, received her second Bachelor of Science from Duke University in Nursing, later accomplishing a Master’s degree in Midwifery from George Washington University. Following these credits Mia gained her post graduate certification at Shenandoah University, while working as a certified nurse midwife in the Georgia area.
Today, Mia’s passion towards her chosen career drives her to focus on preconception counseling, education and pregnancy nutrition for the women in her care both in office and at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital.
Having a strong educational background and maintaining an interest in science has led to her obtaining certifications in nursing from North Carolina, Washington, D.C., and Georgia. She is also active in international prominent nursing organizations such as Sigma Theta Tau honors society, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and an alumnus of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
As a member of the NILE Women’s Health Care family, Mia will be a midwife providing comprehensive care to gynecological, obstetrical, antepartum, intra-partum and postpartum clients in the Alpharetta/Roswell office.
When she is not vigorously focused on her patients, she enjoys volunteering at women’s shelters, traveling with her twin girls, ice skating, playing guitar, scuba diving and surfing.
