Certified Nurse Midwife
Birthing Options Resource
After encountering a midwife who practiced in the impoverished areas of the Philippines at the age of 15, Alyssa was inspired to make an impact in women’s health care. Graduating with a BS in Nursing at Union University in Jackson, TN, Alyssa worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse in her home town of Vera Beach, FL.
To exercise her knowledge on versatile laboring practices Alyssa worked in various settings around the country including doing clinical rotations at a freestanding birth center in Minneapolis, MN. Alyssa went on to obtain her masters through Frontier University and subsequently become a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) in Georgia.
As a member of Nile Women’s Health Care Alyssa will be an Alpharetta midwife providing comprehensive care to gynecological, obstetrical, antepartum, intra-partum and postpartum clients in the Alpharetta/Roswell office. Her focus is to provide education and resources on multiple birthing options that will help families identify the correct method for them while delivering at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital.
With a passion to give since her early years Alyssa has managed to volunteer and give back to communities with her expertise since 2008. She has been actively involved in serving through organizations such as the Christian Medical Dental Association (CDMA) in Clarkston, GA which helps a diverse population of over 166 Nations. She has also done international trips for organizations such as Heart for Lebanon, Safe Refuge International, and Kosovo Hope.
When she is not pursuing her desires in giving back and working at Nile you will find Alyssa traveling, active in church, hosting dinner parties, and taking road trips with her family.
